Community Outreach Day-December 22, 2011 -  The Black Heff fulfilled his commitment to join forces with O.G. Ron C Music Conference/Toy Drive to assist foster parents in making Christmas a joyous occasion their foster children. The foster parents of the children received both toys and clothing for them to open on Christmas morning. The Black Heff who came from a less fortunate background himself know all too well what it’s like to want something as a child but have no way of getting it. He still holds on to those memories and because of that he does everything in his power to make other children’s wishes come true.

The Black Heff was so inspired last year when he first got involved with the toy drive that he decided to not only get involve this year as well but adopt a child for Christmas. The Black Heff heart softened when he learned of a little boy named Joshua who just so happened to be blind and had a likening for Gospel music. Heff who has a love for GOD and Gospel music himself felt strangely connected to Joshua and immediately adopted him as a child for Christmas. Boy did Joshua receive the star treatment, much like all the other special people in Black Heff’s life. Joshua’s wish list included another MP3 player, after receiving one for Christmas last year and having it stolen the same day, a keyboard and Gospel music to listen to as inspiration. So Heff did exactly what Joshua wanted and that was to purchase him another MP3 player along with state of the art Sony headphones and a keyboard. Heff didn’t stop there, he went out and purchased several Gospel CD’s himself and loaded all the music onto the MP3 player especially for Joshua.

Needless to say, Joshua has found a friend in the Black Heff because the Black Heff has shown Joshua the genuine love in his heart for people. That genuine love for people didn’t stop with Joshua as Heff was still in the festive move of the holidays so he decided to stop by the Bridge Street Shelter in Dallas, TX were he donated more gym shoes, his own personal designer shoes, blankets, sheets and pillows to the homeless on Christmas Eve. It warmed Black Heff’s heart to see over 300 people feed for the holidays and given things that we often take for granted but are needed to survive. Heff shook the hands of the homeless at the shelter and held sidebar conversations with them to see what their needs are so that he can make plans moving forward to help them be successful. Giving back is clearly very important to the Black Heff not to mention inspiring to others to do their part as well.
